Activate Business Expense Card

This page is to help Owners and Admins of a Caxton Business Expense account activate an account and users cards. If you are a card user and not an admin, please go to Card User.

Direction for Account Owners and Admins

Owner/Admin

Login to your Business Account to activate the user card and load funds onto the wallet. 

Directions to Activate Card

  1. Select Administration from the left-hand toolbar.
  2. Select Manage Cards
  3. Select Change Card Status
  4. Find user card and select update card status.
  5. Select Active from the drop down and select update card status.

Important

If an email was assigned to the card, an activation email will be sent the user email at point of activating the card.
If an email was not assigned and you will not be giving online access to user, please also provide their pin number.
Be sure to give the user, the User guide and ask they ensure the first transaction is chip and pin, not contactless for security.

In this video, you will learn how to activate a card.
  1. After you log into your Caxton Account, you will see the dashboard
  2. Click on 'expense cards'
  3. Click on 'my expense cards'
  4. Click 'view card groups'
  5. Click 'activate card'
  6. Enter the 6 required digits from the card
  7. Click 'activate card' and it will now be activated

How to load wallets

Sterling Card

  1. Select Corporate Card load from left hand toolbar.
  2. Select the wallet you wish to load from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Add funds to this group.
  4. Enter the amount of funds to be added
  5. Select Add

Multicurrency Cards

  1. Select Corporate Card load from left hand toolbar.
  2. Identify the currency you wish to load under Your Currency Bank Balance and select Load next to that currency.
  3. Select the wallet you wish to load from the drop-down menu
  4. Enter the amount of funds to be added
  5. Select Confirm load.

How to Load Multiple Cards

In this video, you will learn how to load multiple cards.
  1. After you log into your Caxton Account, you will see the dashboard
  2. Click on 'expense cards
  3. Click on 'load multiple cards'
  4. Click on 'download CSV template' for card load
  5. Open the Excel CSV file and fill out the appropriate fields and save it
  6. Upload the CSV file by clicking on the 'upload' button under step 2
