The Future of Payroll Payments Podcast

Rupert Lee Browne joined Nick Day on the Payroll Podcast to discuss the insights and innovations of the payroll industry and how Caxton is building technology to advance payroll and keep Caxton at the forefront of the payroll industry.

Rupert believes “payroll is fundamental to society, and what it means is that families can eat, they can house themselves, they can buy goods and services from other companies that in turn employ other people, and that in turn enables families to eat. And I would say for society to actually operate properly.”

Caxton are now working with accounting firms, payroll bureaus, in house payroll operations to ultimately help reduce stress and risk when it comes to payroll. Rupert mentions how Caxton is using API as a technical solution to automate the payroll process through embedded finance. The idea is that this will reduce errors and save time for people involved in payroll.

Nick and Rupert also discuss the challenges that Caxton faced in the international payments market, and how they used technology to simplify the process and ensure automation when relevant. Rupert also made sure to highlight the importance of cybersecurity for businesses, especially when dealing with clients data and money.

Overall when it comes to payroll Caxton is persistent at getting it right. As Rupert said in the podcast: “it is absolutely fundamental to the way that we live our lives, and it needs to be done securely, properly, with integrity, on time, to the right person, the right place with the right amount of money”
