Melanie believes companies need to do more when addressing payroll for their staff. Melanie states: "Caxton recently conducted research into this and found that nearly half of UK employees have had a late or incorrect wages paid to them on payday." The pressures put on employees from high inflation and stagnant wages has meant its crucial more than ever for companies to support their staff. This can also benefit employers by securing better talent. Companies are constantly fighting to retain the best talent and offering a better payroll experience can help in this regard. "Over half of employees claim that when considering a new employer, they would choose an employer that offered pay as you earn it over one who does not." This is a huge deal and goes to show improving payroll can have a direct impact on staff and company growth.

By moving away from legacy platforms and more into the digital and instant payment era, employers can offer a better payroll experience to help their staff and build trust, retain and attract talent and hence drive growth.
