Caxton is Payroll award finalists — twice over!

We've just had the green light to share some brilliant news.

Caxton's Professional Services Team has been shortlisted for Service Provider Excellence Award – Payments at this year's Rewards, and Paul Unwin, Payments Integration Manager, has been shortlisted for Payroll Professional of the Year – Global Supplier. A huge congratulations to the Professional Services team including Neil Lewis, Tara Tobin, Paul Unwin, Nathan Cook, Chris Maddison, Ben Avilez)

What are The Rewards?

Run by Reward Strategy, The Rewards is one of the biggest nights in the UK payroll and reward calendar. It brings together senior leaders and organisations from across the payroll, reward, benefits and pensions industry to recognise the people and businesses setting the standard for the sector. This year's ceremony takes place on 16 September at the Hilton London Bankside, with 20 categories covering everything from technical innovation to individual excellence.

What our team does, day to day

The Professional Services Team is the engine room behind Caxton's payments offering. Day to day, that means:

  • Supporting global clients through complex, multi-currency payment setups
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly, so clients can trust their payments will land on time, every time
  • Working closely with product and platform teams to flag friction points and push for improvements
  • Building relationships with clients that go beyond transactions, so we genuinely understand what they need
  • Staying on top of the regulatory and compliance detail that makes international payments possible in the first place

It's detailed, often invisible work. When it's done well, nobody notices, because everything just works. That's exactly why this recognition means so much.

Why we're proud

Being shortlisted for Service Provider Excellence Award – Payments is recognition of the whole team, not just one person. It reflects the graft that goes into every client interaction, every payment query, every process improvement behind the scenes. It's easy for that kind of work to go unnoticed outside the business, so having it recognised industry-wide is a genuinely proud moment for the team.

Paul says, "Being named a finalist for Payroll Professional of the Year – Global Supplier is a huge honour. It's a category that puts you up against some brilliant people doing brilliant work across the industry, and just being on that shortlist is something I don't take for granted."

When's the ceremony?

The Rewards ceremony takes place on 16 September 2026 at the Hilton London Bankside, London. We'll share how it goes!
