Ahmed Dekmak is the Chief Technical Officer for Caxton and is an industry leader in software architecture. He has been instrumental in the development of the new Caxton Card Processing Engine and is constantly pushing to evolve Caxton's systems to help deliver a superior product to customers.
Ahmed is an experienced Technical Lead and engineering manager with a history in Fintech, financial services and government. As CTO of Caxton, he has led the re-architecture and platformisation of the Caxton Card Processing Engine. This solution which allows Caxton to endlessly reimagine the services on offer was achieved with zero downtime and full integration of historical data.
Ahmed graduated from the University of Oxford where he applied his software skills to solutions that help solve real problems, such as service-oriented peer-to-peer software architecture and increasing the quality of dementia care. This human-oriented approach has allowed Ahmed to create an innovative profile of what Caxton do, staying two steps ahead of client needs at all times. It also puts him at the head of a team where culture is as important as skill.
Holding previous roles in Risk Management and Development, Ahmed is experienced in building mission-critical systems as well as building strong teams and creating best developer practice. He is an industry leader within software architecture, including cloud and asynchronous architecture, and particularly excels at leading a project from initial concept through to successful completion.
